Corruption Meets Chaos

This is a Satirical Piece

September 24th 2024 was a day like any other day. Officer Anthony Greyson clocked on, stuffed his packed lunch into his bag (there were 10 whole Donuts in there, packed special by his mom!), and shoved his gun into his waistband so that he could blast some fools later in the day.

What Officer Greyson didn’t expect was the slowly rising urge within him. Each arrest he made drove that urge higher and harder. Soon, he was bowing at the knee to the urges within him. With a feral roar, he ripped his badge off of his chest and stormed into the Chief of Police’s office.

He slammed the badge onto her desk and stared at her. “I’m tired of this corruption!” He shouted. He then began to rant, rave, and tell countless tales of the police brutality he saw daily. Officers shooting innocent bystanders and letting them bleed! Officers stealing money from people who’d pled not guilty, and hauling them off to prison! Officers shooting people who were no threat to them!

The lights in the room began to dim, and now Ex-Officer Greyson left the Chief’s Office and the Police Station. Once outside, he ran into a friendly group all wearing blue. He willingly got into their car with them and demanded that they take him to change at the nearest clothing store. They willingly obliged and took their new best friend where he wanted to go. With anticipation, the youngest of the group asked the man what his plan was?

“I’m going to rob a Liquor Store, and it’s going to feel great!” Anthony replied as he shoved a dunce cap on his head. The girls questioned his decision, but he swore he wanted to look the silliest he ever had. “I need the Police to see just how goofy they look to us!” He declared. The girls understood, and drove him quickly to the Liquor Store next to Burger Shot.

Once inside, Anthony began to threaten the store clerk. This was it! He was finally doing it!
