On October 5, 2024 , Toe Beans, the local beloved cat café, was shook to it's core with a horrible incident. Balthazar, the amazing, the perfect, the beloved by all, was shot in cold blood during a disagreement that had broken out in the restaurant. He later was rushed to the vet, and has since returned back to the café but the community still seems to feel the waves created that day.
Balthazar is one of the favourite kitties at Toe Beans, often receiving love, and affection from many members of the community as well as many of the employees. Often being one of the first kitties many see when they go into the lounging area where most of them reside. He has often been seen as the protector of Toe Beans, a super cat even. Some eyewitnesses had mentioned to employees they had spotted Balthazar hovering or shooting lasers out of his eyes before the incident that had occurred.
The events of the incident are still unclear to this day. What is most known is that while most of the kittens had run to hide during an argument, Balthazar stood at his post. Protector and guardian of Toe Beans. For this he was shot in the head. He remained brave as he was rushed to PAW Ranch for emergency treatment and surgery. Though all of the odds did look good, and only required some lifestyle changes, many were still worried throughout Balthazar's recovery that lasted about two weeks.
Many of the staff were able to feel the absence of Balthazar the Great and All Powerful during this time. Many of the customers were also effected by his absence. Even the Brian Fantana was torn up over it. Asking myself, through tears "where did my favourite kitten go?" "Is he going to be ok?" and "Where is the man that shot him?!" Of course, I did all I could to calm him down but, we can only hope I did good enough. Balthazar previously saved Mr. Fantana, occurring to him, from a 6 car pile up and vehicle fire. Dragging him from the wreckage. There are many others with similar stories, some saying that Balthazar should run for governor or maybe a judge.

It would of been nice to give a shout out to the vets that managed to save his life! They deserve to be knighted by king Balthazar himself!
