It’s a weird one today, fellas. Early this morning at roughly 1:00 AM EST one of our photographers, Mick Medlin, was getting his vehicle repaired when he noticed an impromptu soccer game being played at the soccer field in Mirror Park. It seemed like a normal game of outdoor pickup soccer; 5v5 skins and shirts, with a commentator and what looked to be a referee. There was just one odd thing about this… The soccer ball was a human on a blowup beach ring, and boy it sure was quite a sight. Both teams were trying their hardest to get the beach ring into the other team’s goal, all while having goalies on both sides and tackling each other to get the “ball.” We are unsure who ended up winning this match, but we wish the best of luck to both teams in future matches! Who knows, maybe a league will come of it someday?
