Monsters and Treats and Costumes - OH MY - What an eventful week of Halloween Horrors for Los Santos. We saw various businesses, communities and people across this spookiest of times.
This Reporter was lucky to have had the chance to experience a lot of what Los Santos had to offer the lover of all things Halloween including the opening of the Paw Ranch pumpkin patch where folks could go and enjoy the corn maze and pick their pumpkin. We had Maisie Hyde of the San Andreas Parks Department holding a Haunted Monster Mash - pumpkins were carved and costumes were judged by K9s. We had an amazing winner with a couple’s entry of Jack Skellington and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas.
We also had the weekend-long experience of the VeSPOOKY JunkScare where communities across Los Santos could meet, chat, dress up and experience the exciting HAUNTED JUNKYARD where actors could spook those brave [or stupid] enough to risk entering. There was much fun to be had with Billie Eagley of ArCola entertaining us with Halloween-themed trivia and Morticia Rhodes of MyMilkshake and Parks Department putting on a costume contest with the winner being Max and Roxanne from The Goofy Movie (do we see a trend here folks?)

Music was a big part of this Halloween season with The Monster Mash at Hawkins Hideout ft. Jason “The Terrifying” Tanners and DJs exploding on the stages including Pretty Boy Paco who delivered us an amazing Thriller song and dance at the Monster Mash Ball up at Paw Rance and DJ Redrum bringing murder to the dancefloor with her truly terrifying sets down to DJ Spooky who sure did live up to his name! But it was with a sad heart we heard from Pax, a long-standing artist of Los Santos and one-half of the Certified Lover Boys, that he would be retiring from music. We wish them all the best for their next adventure.
Speaking of music, we were also lucky enough to have the Craft Bar and Eatery’s contribution to this Halloween by holding their annual Rave Beyond the Grave over in Sandy Shores with music, costumes and trick or treats from local friends and vendors all to help their Soup Kitchen endeavours with the community as well as their bi-weekly Open Mic Night where amateurs and professionals alike can showcase what they have to show off from songs to poems to jokes. A big thank you to Owners: Midas and Chesty Knox.
We hope you all had an amazing time this Halloween and we look forward to seeing what other events are due to pop up in November! Stay Spooky Los Santos!
